Time has come and gone

Random things that happened the past week:

Pregnancy Discomfort

I have severe pelvic joint pain. First felt during the early 2nd trimester but it got so bad that it hurts to:

  • Getting up or turning in bed (esp. in the morning). ~
  • Wearing pants. ~
  • Sitting too long. ~
  • Getting in or out of the car. ~
  • Movement. ~

*degree of pain(tears):
= ouch
= yeeaouch!
= Oooohooohooohoooooooooo!!! (yup, like Dolzer)

Back sores becoming a nuisance and need Dolzer's constant massage at night . I didn't have this problem with Porky except for the last two weeks before his birth, my belly was so huge I had very bad back sores (~ type).

I felt like an old woman and aging so fast I can hardly keep up with the boys and Ngau ngau. Most of the time I just lie on the bed, staring at four walls with Chicky and Porky dancing and bouncing around me as though I'm a bonfire .

Chicky: Mummy, are you okay? Mummeee.
Hellzbunny: ...
Chicky: Mummy, what's wrong? Mummeee...

Flu Away

Chicky and Porky finally recovered from flu .

Actually it was a week ago but I needed to be sure since the house is suffering from local flu. So, no more leaky nose in the night. No more sneezing in the day. No more occasional greenish phlegm whenever I clean their nose after shower.

The first medication was completely finished and we went for extended from the doctor. In total, Chicky and Porky were given medicine for about a week. However, when they still not fully recovered, I stop their medication and decided to wait & see. It kept bouncing back and forth; one day leaky nose, the next day better. Then the following day back to sneezy and leaky again. Pretty mind boggling.

Now that they are fully recovered, I couldn't deny them the pleasure of evening walks at the park! ~

Chicky and Porky enjoyed themselves tremendously after confining in the house for over two weeks . Better yet, Gong gong and Po po joined us.

As for me, I didn't get to stroll around with Dolzer. Pics taking already took up all my energy. I thought of blogging about it that night but the severe joint pain took my breath away and Dolzer now forbids evening walks to the park until Ngau ngau arrives *sobs*

Dolzer and boys

I was lying on the bed, resting my poor hips. Busy browsing through the pics in my camera and asked Dolzer if he could watch the boys before I prepare them for bed. The usual routine would include

  • Brushing their teeth
  • Putting on a movie
  • Change Porky's nappy
  • Remind maid to bring up the boys' milk for the night
  • Prepare the bed: Pillows allocation for all boys (inc. Dolzer)
  • Taking out any towels or clothes lying around
  • Clearing the toys away so Dolzer won't step on it in the morning
  • Stock up Porky's nappies for the night

SURPRISE

Now it's deng deng deng deeeng...

Finally got it to work! Happiness

Initially my brother bought the Left 4 Dead DVD from Leisure Mall and tested the multiplayer option.
Failed. Computer crash.

After installing into the PC, Dolzer tried to configure the game's programming script and computer settings.
Failed. Cannot detect other computers.

Dolzer downloaded a free software called Hamachi to create a private network for gaming. Tested with my brother until 4am.
Failed. Actually can detect other computers but cannot play. False hope.

Dolzer did weeks of research on the internet, subscribing to forums, reading from gamer's reviews, asking from friends (mostly still hooked on DoTA) and game sellers.
Failed. No further progress.

Then, brother went down to JB to work for couple of weeks and met up with a friend who also crazy over Left 4 Dead. Good news! His can work on multiplayer. Came back and tested it out.
Success. Still need to work on the kinks.

IT WORKED!!!

System requirement on my PC (the lowest):
  • OS: Windows XP Pro
  • CPU: 1.86 GHz Dual Core
  • RAM: 1.00 GB
  • Hard Drive: Around 6-7 GB free space left.
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 7300 LE (Direct X9)
  • Sound: Not sure about sound card but it works

The requirements above is slightly below the manufacturer's but it worked well and has smooth gaming experience .

Problems:
  • My PC's font gone haywired. All changed. ALL.
  • The laptop that uses Windows Vista. We bought a pen drive to boost the RAM to 4GB and the game still crash!

Dolzer is still not giving up hope. Will take snapshots of the game once all of us are able to play!!!
