Chicky & Porky Toy Shopping

When the boys recovered from tummy bug, I wanted to reward... SPOIL (wanted to use the word pamper but felt as though I'm repeating myself too many times from the previous post) Chicky and Porky for their effort in getting better. It's not a habit of mine - kinda mindful on spending and keeping track with the household expenditure. Just that with this pregnancy I'm constantly having soft spot for the boys and I know what Dolzer would say...

Dolzer: Ha... It has nothing to do with the pregnancy.

But a week ago, for Dolzer's effort as well in recovering from his flu, I did reward him with something which he is still totally over the moon about it and hopefully this post will remind him that I treat ALL boys EQUALLY.

Couple of weeks back, MIL and I went to Jalan Pudu to shop for toys as it is well known for it's distributor price (almost) and within budget we're able to purchase more.We were lucky to get a parking right in front of the shop. Chicky got down with us while Porky and Maid waited for us in the car. Porky screamed!

Anyway, Chicky, being the lucky one had a grand time scouring along the dusty aisle, picking out his favourites:

  • An electronic sword
  • A golf set
  • A pack of rubber toy dinosaurs (I chose for Porky but Chicky insisted on holding it)
  • An Ultraman plastic mask (did not buy) - slung across his right arm
  • A crossbow set (did not buy) - hugging on his chest
  • Others which constantly fell off him and I repeatedly asked him to put it down (did not buy)

For Porky, Ma ma and I were busy checking out this crocodile. The T-Rex already sold out () and the nicer looking crocodiles were not functioning well. We were considering whether to get this ugly looking croc since it's the only one left that works from all the ones which the seller took out for us.

We did.

Ma ma did the bargaining (an expert) while I checked each toy:
  • Mindful of the paint
  • Quality (making sure its durable)
  • Manufacturer
  • Instinct

Final purchase

Chicky

  • An electronic sword
  • A golf set
  • A packet of rubber toy dinosaurs (to be shared)

Porky
  • A large toy car
  • The electronic crocodile

Total spending was less than RM90. Once in the car, Porky resumed screaming (pissed at being abandoned earlier) and against my better judgment, asked Maid to take out the toy car for him. He soon quieted down and was playing his toy car gleefully while Maid wrestled with him playfully and cleaning it with baby wipes (upon strict insistence). All the toys were very very dusty!

However...

Boy, you're ugly!

As feared, Chicky will claim ownership on ANY toy or gift given to Porky.

This crocodile has a funky music when it's played. Each time Chicky wants to play with it, he will hum the funky tune out. A rubber band is tied around it's belly because amidst both boys screams and fights, it fell on the floor and the battery compartment turned loose. ~

This is how Porky felt...

Need to clear his mind

Rub rub rub...

Yesterday, while durian hunting for Dolzer at Maluri Jusco, I saw this dinosaur from Fisher Price at 70% discount. The battery is flat and luckily it uses AA Alkaline Batteries. Only two left, chose the better one and paid. It's movement is similar to the Ugly Crocodile minus the funky music, it gives out a simulated dino's roar.

Just as dusty as the toys bought from Jalan Pudu. This dino must have been kept a very long time, even the battery area has some sort of crystallize solid which took a great deal of effort to clean it out. Well, once the batteries replaced, it worked just as good as new.

Kept it hidden from Chicky until this morning, took it out for Porky while Chicky is having his cereal breakfast downstairs.

A happy Porky

After awhile he got bored, I quickly kept Porky's dino in a secret place and went downstairs to check on Chicky.

Spring Cleaning Blues

Chicky
Current mood: Comfortable
Current action: Quietly watching me blogging

Porky
Current mood: Contemplating
Current action: Wanting to climb up behind of me

The usual weekly spring cleaning again. Yesterday maid & I cleaned up the room which involved the usual

Hellzbunny:
  • Aircond
  • Water filter
  • Miscellaneous

Maid:
  • Cupboard tops
  • Everything else

I hate cleaning the aircond ever since tummy got bigger and heavier. Too much strain on the pelvic muscles and Dolzer kept forgetting (avoiding) about it after weeks and weeks of complain .

Usually spring cleaning is done on either Tuesday or Wednesday, depending on the weather. Been wanting to change it to one of the weekends but Dolzer at times could sleep up to noon!

Can't rely on Maid because she might be clumsy and rough. Might ultimately destroy the aircond which is our LIFE SUPPORT in this weather! ~

Almost done

Putting back parts

After cleaning, I let the aircond run for 10 mins to air out any residue stuck in between the rollers. Oh... The strain!

(Porky receiving my death stare - not to climb on ladder)

(Chicky helped to keep an eye on Porky while I clean)

When Porky started climbing up the ladder steps, Chicky will exclaimed:

Chicky: Mummy! Didi ah~ Didi climb. Nooo... Didi. Tata. Nooo... Come down didi... (something like that)

After cleaning, we took a relaxing bath to cleanse out the dirt and dust while Maid finished up the rest. Chicky & Porky just love their baths

As for me, I needed some pampering.

Pantene Pro-V Miracle Treatment

After 3 mins, my hair felt so good and it's truly a miracle. Hehe. Silky soft. Dolzer wanted to get more for me since it's such a pleasure but when we saw this

Ginvera Shower Scrub

At Maluri Jusco:
The Ginvera Shower Scrub
RM6.90
Pantene Miracle Treatment RM6.50

It may be my best purchase of the month .

Need I say more? We cleaned out the entire stock available. That will last us for couple of months and me, one less shopping goods to worry about. I still have my Bodyshop pampering goods and I got the Pantene Miracle Treatment for free when I bought the shampoo some time ago

Comes with a free gift

Phew. Another spring cleaning day passes by .

note: It's not easy to take pics while cleaning the aircond. The trouble is taken for Dolzer's attention .
